Who is the best spiderman ?
After Spider-Man: No Way Home, it's time to analyze and compare the three stars who played Peter Parker and spiderman to find out, which one is the best spiderman?
Tobey Maguire
The original. Tobey debuted as Spider-Man in 2002 and won the hearts of many viewers now in their 20s and 30s. In addition to being the first, Maguire also has the best Spider-Man movies on his resume, as the first two films directed by Sam Raimi stand as the best in the superhero category.
Tobey has the most loser look. He's poor, he gets bullied, he's treated badly at his job, the girl of his dreams is practically impossible, everything goes wrong for him. On the other hand, he's also tender, quite shy, brave and very smart. His performance really resonated with the audience because we could empathize with him and the villains he faced were spectacular, which makes it easier for us to side with the hero.
The problem with him is Spider-Man 3, which has too many flaws and maintains virtually nothing of what made the first two films special. On the other hand, the treatment of women within each of the stories is rather weak, as both MJ, May and Gwen are there to be abused by villains or in the middle of a dispute between two men.
Andrew Garfield
Most charismatic. Andrew's first movie was in 2012, just five years after Spider-Man 3 and the reality is that viewers were not ready for a new Peter Parker. The impact of Maguire and Raimi's trilogy was impressive on comic book and superhero fans, so when Sony tried to replace him, it was not well received.
On the other hand, Andrew also has the bad luck of starring in the two worst Spider-Man movies, with plots that were criticized as boring and villains that left much to be desired. In fact, Garfield himself pokes fun at this in No Way Home. The film was coming off the success of Twilight and director Marc Webb wanted to give it a similar tone to the popular teen saga, but it didn't work.
Beyond this, when we talk about actors, Andrew Garfield is the best and most charismatic of the three, which makes his Peter very special, and this is seen to perfection in No Way Home. Andrew stole the movie with his emotional and comedic moments. We all left the theater wishing for a new Garfield movie and that's because of his skills in front of the camera.
Tom Holland
Most popular. Tom Holland arrived in 2014, at the best possible time, as the MCU was cementing itself as the biggest phenomenon in popular culture. Because he was surrounded by characters we already loved like Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, it was much easier to adopt him as one of our favorite heroes. Plus, Tom was able to distinguish himself very well from previous versions of Peter Parker.
His Peter Parker was very well received in Captain America: Civil War, which led him to star in his solo trilogy and he was also the protagonist of some of the MCU's most unforgettable moments, such as his death in Infinity War. As if that wasn't enough, he also received the ultimate praise from Stan Lee, who described him as the most faithful version of Spider-Man in the comics.
The actor became one of the biggest stars in the industry thanks to Spider-Man, but his films were criticized for being too childish. His Peter Parker is the youngest of the three, so he often has a childish behavior that can be annoying. However, we can say that in No Way Home he put on his long pants and we are ready to see the most mature version of the character.
Well in conclusion I think we all know that the best spiderman is the one in spectacular spiderman.
